Top 10 things you must know when becoming a vendor on Eventors

Updated over a week ago

Never Accept Payment Outside of Eventors

Any vendor receiving payments outside of the Eventors website for booking conversations started on Eventors will be immediately removed from the platform. Booking through Eventors provides vendors support and cancellation policies that protect you and your service.

***Vendors may require a refundable day-of security/damage deposit from organizers in the form of a check or credit card authorization such as Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, etc. At this time, Eventors does not support processing these deposits through our online and mobile applications.

The Way Payments Work

As soon as a vendor accepts a booking request, the organizer is charged in full. Aside from a 15% booking fee, you will receive your full payment within 3 business days after the booking is completed via direct deposit to the account info provided by the vendor, therefore completing your payout details is essential.

***We offer a 50% cash deposit for vendors who require funds in order to prepare for a large booking (e.g. food, flowers, bar service, etc.).

Keeping Communication on the Platform

Vendors and organizers must keep communication on the platform until booking has been confirmed. Even after booking has been confirmed, we encourage you to keep communication on the platform using our built-in messaging tools. By keeping communication on the platform, Eventors can help ensure vendor/organizer security and the integrity of the Eventors marketplace.

Photos must not include phone numbers, emails, websites, or other forms of communication.

How Does Eventors Get Paid

Creating a listing is free. Eventors does not charge a sign up or membership fee. However, there is a 15% booking fee for all bookings completed through the Eventors platform.

Cancellations

A vendor may cancel one confirmed booking within a 6-month period without penalty. In the event of any cancellation of a confirmed booking by a vendor, Eventors reserves the right to impose penalties on the vendor’s account including:

  • Charging fines, including covering costs incurred by the organizer or Eventors resulting from a cancelation / no-show

  • Publishing a warning on the vendor’s listing indicating they cancelled a booking

  • Suspending or terminating the vendor’s account

Response Rate & Reviews

Visibility on the platform is determined by your response rate and review score. Responding quickly to inquiries is crucial to the success of your listing, and providing an excellent service will increase your chances of getting a high review rate by your clients.

***Only organizers who have booked your service are allowed to leave you a review.

We’re Building a Trusted Community

We rely on vendors and organizers to interact with each other in a cordial and professional manner. To ensure the safety and well-being of all Eventors users, including yourself, we require that everyone be respectful and honest when posting content, communicating with other users, and making or accepting payments. We take violations of these values seriously.

Your Listing

You are in charge of your own listing. Give it a unique name and description that best reflect what you do and what planners should expect when booking your service. Choose a minimum of 5 high quality photos, and set your rules and availability. Choose your rate and pricing type and share any other important details.

Our Relationship with Our Vendors

Eventors is an online marketplace that markets unique event vendors, and helps event planners book the service providers they need quickly, easily, and securely. No joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between the vendors and Eventors.
